a day in guamCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam
On our way back from Palau we have a 12h-stopover in Guam. Can anyone recommend a beach where to spend the day and how to get there from the airport?
Tumon Bay, where the main resorts are, probably has the easiest access from the airport. There may be a public bus, but if not, taxis aren't too bad. | 1
If you don't mind a lot of tourists, I'd recommend using the tour trolleys. They're reliable and you can get from the airport to the beach and anywhere else you need to go. Taxis aren't bad either, fewer people but more of a wait. The beaches are everywhere, it just depends what you want to do. When are you coming to the island? If I don't have anything going on I could get you from the airport and take you somewhere. | 2
My wife and I heading to Guam in mid-February (this weekend!) for a week and I was wondering if I could get some advice. Any info would be really appreciated. | 3
Joandoinjapan, I'm so sorry that I didn't think to check the thread until after your trip. If you ever come back to Guam, I'd be happy to suggest all kinds of things. | 4
Hey, I'm going to start a new thread for this, but just in case... | 5
We always stopped at the McDonalds and Walmart- but we were living on Palau so that doesn't count. There is way toooooo much shopping- lots of "outlet" shops with big names. Other than that I have no info- it was a stopping over place for us only. | 6
K Mart? one or the other. | 7
