Accomodation in South of Guam?Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam
Hi to all of you who might live in Guam. We are a family of four and will need to spend 2 to 3 nights in Guam before we fly out to Palau. I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a nice quiet accomodation in the south of the island like merizo or umatac or something else that is far away from the main area. something on the sea that is special in a beautiful village? I hope someone has a suggestion. We are coming in august and will need this for mid august.
Why are you stuck in Guam? Can you get over to Yap on the way to Palau? Much more interesting. Guam is great for shopping (especially if you are living in the islands) but I wouldn't stay there if you had options. We used to stop for the McDonalds- after being away from such things for a year or so, it was great! | 1
because the flights from guam to yap are only on certain days we have no choice but to be in guam a couple of days. we will then fly to yap and on to palau and back again to guam for another night. Anyway since we will be there i would like to make the best of it, i am sure there are some beautiful places, after all it is an island. I however would rather stay in a quiet place that is quaint rather than in the middle of the massive hotels. i am looking to rent a place or rooms. I thought someone from Gaum might be able to recommend me places in the south. Anyone????? | 2
got it. but have no great ideas as we hit KMart (or is it Walmart?) and McDonalds when we went through Guam. So I see Guam as a massive shopping mall. I'm sure someone has better ideas than I. But you will have a wonderful time anyway- enjoy. | 3
