Daytime hotel in Guam

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam

I have about 14 daylight hours to kill in Guam on my way to Palau, and the same again going home. While it is a lovely opportunity to look around, I suspect that on at least one of these legs all I will be interested in doing is sleeping. What are the odds of finding a hotel that will let me check in mid-morning and leave the same evening? Surely there must be a market for this given the hideous itineraries to Palau and FSM? If such a beast exists will I be charged for one night or two? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Lots of hotels around Tumon Bay, you might contact one of the lesser-priced ones and see what they offer.
I had heard there might be one near the airport, but don;t have any info on that.
The Plumeria Inn near downtown may offer something, but it's a ways from the airport.

I've now returned from Palau and Guam, and it turns out that most hotels will give you what they call a day-use room - all you have to do is ask. I don't know how the rates compare with a normal booking but they seemed to be about the same charge as for a normal night. They do seem to try to give you the lower-standard rooms for a day-use, but if all you are doing is sleeping that's probably no big deal.
