Guam - Vacation rental or resort hotel with baby?

Any suggestions on a vacation rental vs. hotel in Guam? My 8 month old son and I will be visiting my hubby who is working on the Air Force base. Typically, we've found a vacation rental/condo to be better when traveling with the little one because of access to a kitchen, washer/dryer, and more space when compared to a hotel. However, none of the vacation rentals I'm seeing on VRBO or Airbnb look that great. They're prob fine and cheaper than a hotel but I don't want to end up in a place we aren't happy with either. Any thoughts? Any resort hotels with similar amenities? Thanks!!

For my own expierence i always to prefere to rent a vacation villa for my holidays in the Dominican Republic. We stayed several times in Casa de Campo and mostly rented our villa do a luxury webpage called 360Luxury. I see a lot of value time you can spend with your friends and family. Cooking together and having fun.
