immigration restriction for a Czech national

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam

Hi there,
I am a Czech national (Czech Republic), I would like to travel to Guam. Do I need any visa to visit your country as a tourist for about 5 days? It seems like I do not need one, yet I have read some info we need to go through the authorization process ESTA, which could be nuisance... Do we have to go through this even we do not fly over US mainland territory?

Thank you for your answer,

jirikoo

There seem to be two ways to get into Guam without a visa, either a 90 day US Visa Waiver Program entry which does require you to get an ESTA beforehand, for which the Czech Republic is eligible or a 45 day Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program entry which does NOT require you to get an ESTA beforehand but which the Czech Republic is NOT eligible. There are several nationalities that are eligible for either VWP so I guess they get to choose but you do not have that choice. The ESTA is online and costs $14 so not sure why it would be a nuisance.
