Public Transportation in Guam

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam

Hi

I'm going to travel Guam alone

I booked Hotel and plan to have a good week with shopping and various local food, but I got a problem...

I think that just shopping around all week is extremely wasting my time and money, so I searched some attractions.

However, there are little information about public bus or any transportation except Rental cars ,Taxi and shopping mall buses

Is there any bus line to ride on for tour attractions?

Not that I remember- just to the shopping. Why Guam? Oh- shopping and local food.

You can hire a car in Guam for as little as $25/30 / day.

http://www.carsultd.com/ or : http://www.dollar.com.gu/english/index.php

Public transport : http://www.guam-online.com/transportation/trans.htm

Dont count on the GMTA buses, virtually non existing !!

Well, are you serious about going to Guam for shopping ?
And what kind of "local food" do you actually expect there ?
Rather an artificial world over there.

There is a lot of authentic local food. Find out about visiting a village fiesta. Fiestas are a big deal.
Get a car and drive around the island. You can do it in a day stopping off here and there. Then go back to the places you want to check out more. I would check out the possibility of dive certification, or at least some snorkeling. Guam is a great place to just relax.
