Temporary Lodging in Guam

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Guam

Hi,

I lived in Guam from 1990 - 2002 (before moving to Hawaii) and loved the friendly people, beautiful beaches, and 'hafa adai' spirit. I worked at Pacific Machinery in Harmon for most of those years.

I'm traveling to Guam in mid-June and need to stay for 3 months. Why 3 months? In a nutshell, I was married to a Philipina woman before and she left after 13 years of marriage in 2005 and went back to the Philippines. I'm told by a lawyer in Guam that if I stay there for 3 months I can finally be divorced from this woman that I haven't seen since she left.

I'm looking for temporary lodging and/or a part-time job. I would trade work for lodging, since I have nothing to do while I'm there except wait for the time to expire.
I'm 38 and healthy and have a military, management, administrative, and a real estate background. I'm very computer literate, and I can also drive a forklift and a bobcat if needed.

I'm hoping to find someone or a family that would rent me a room for the three months. I don't require much. I need to be relatively close to a bus-stop or something that I can use to get to Hagatna when I have to meet with my lawyer.

If you know of something or someone that could help, please contact me at lbhi2005@gmail.com.

Thank you,
Larry

Have you checked out the PDN online? They may have things available.

You might consider Tamuning Plaza Hotel. They come up with some really good deals sometimes...

Thanks for your suggestions. I have looked at PDN online and also craigslist.org but haven't found anything.
I really can't afford to spend 3 months in a hotel. The Tamuning Plaza Hotel...that's the one by where the British Pub is (or used to be)?
I used to rent one of those brick condos on that street.
