What is the cheapest place to stay on island?

Which island?
Most islands in Kiribati don't have formal accomodation.
I have stayed at Marys on South Tarawa. It is not 'the cheapest', but the cheapest may not be toyour liking either.

When I was in Kiribati in May 2013 I stayed at the Fema Lodge for AU$ 55 per night including breakfast. I am certain it is not the cheapest place on the island. Anyway it is a nice place and the owner is friendly. They are open for lunch and dinner as well.
You can check the Internet www.kiribatitourism.gov.ki for a overview of accomodation in Kiribati.

Enjoy - it's a nice and relaxed country.
