How reliable is Air Kiribati?

I will be visiting Kiribati for 4+ days and considering a 2 night stay on the outer island of Abemama. Air Kiribati flies there from Tarawa. How reliable is the carrier? My fear is getting stuck on Abemama if the flight back to Tarawa is cancelled, which put me at risk missing the next day's flight out of Kiribati.

They are more reliable than they used to be - however, that plan is still a bit tight timewise to rely on them. There is another carrier (Coral SunAirways) who have similar issues. However, Abemama is close enough to Tarawa that you could, if all else fails, catch a boat back to the mainland. I'd probably not risk it....
