Surf Kirtimati

We are thinking of heading to Kiritimati Island in March for a surf trip. Any suggestions? One problem I am facing is organising flights as I know that the flights are once a week but seems to be different ideas of which days they fly in and out. We would be looking at getting there from Australia via Nadi.

Is March an ok time to go and what has been the experience of other travellers who have been there?
