My second attempt to post this to the Marshall Islands forum and not the general one. Hope it works this time. After checking out the the Reimers Hotel, the Uliga Inn and the Marshall Islands Resort (MIR) I went for the MIR. 80 US for a clean and spacious seafacing room with balcony. They have a saltwater pool. The other two places are fine too. If the garden bungalows at the Reimers Hotel fit in your budget it is a different story. The MIR has been renovated last year for some official meeting there. The museum is open and its two rooms merit a visit. I liked the DAR-Restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The Jasmine Restaurant by the Uliga Inn has allright chinese food. There is a place to stay in Laura village called the Laura Country Inn (self catering). It was closed while i was there unfortunately due to the owners being overseas. Laura seems nice to stay though if you want it quiet. Eneko and Arno Island are easy and fast to get to from Majuro. The Arno Beachcomber is now the Arno B&B and run by Francis Reimers. You can get the contact number at the Reimers Hotel. Reimers Hotel runs Eneko Island, where there is self catering accomodation. One of the two planes of Air Marshall Islands was down for a while in February, since they needed an expensive spare part and the airline did not have the cash to pay for it, according to the local weekly newspaper. So when going with them to outer islands it is better to be very flexible with your flight out of Majuro. I flew with Our Airline from Nadi to Majuro (every two weeks) and on to Kiribati and both flights were fine and pretty much on time. Enjoy your trip Edited by: mvc68 | ||
