Visa on arrival in Marshall Islands?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Marshall Islands

The IATA Timatic website now says that citizens of over 80 countries can get visa on arrival in Marshall Islands: https://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_website_client.cgi?FullText=1&COUNTRY=MH&SECTION=VI&SUBSECTION=00&user=KLMB2C&subuser=KLMB2C

This is at odds with the information on the Marshall Islands Visitors Authority which has a much more limited list of countries: http://www.visitmarshallislands.com/travel-to-the-marshall-islands

I am from Singapore and Singapore is listed in the visa-on-arrival list of IATA but not on that of the Visitors Authority. Does anyone know if the IATA list is accurate? I have emailed the M.I. Visitors Authority but have received no response.

Thank you.

Our airline database agrees that you can obtain a VOA.

I see the Visitors Authority web-site you quote was last updated 2013 so perhaps not up to date.

I agree with friendly_checkingirl - you should be good to go without any issues.

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions regarding the Marshall Islands. I'm not an expert, but I spent a couple months (Majuro + Outer Islands) there just last year and may be able to help out a bit.

Hi.
Im travelling to Marshall Islands in May this year staying in Majuro, Marshall Islands between Pohnpei, Mikronesia and Nauru. Im going to spend only 4 days there between the 04th and the 08th of May.
Im from Norway so i think i need a visa prior to arrival but the (www.visitmarshallislands.com) site is reported down and from what ive seen i think i need one. This was until i saw the IATA TIMATIC website telling me otherwise.

Ive sent several emails to the Director of Immigration in Majuro with no respons. Also to different hotels in Majuro, getting one answear from Flame Three Backpackers with info of how to contact mr. Damien Jacklick, the director of Immigration. Ive also tried contacted the Marshallese Embassy in Washington, USA telling me to contact the immigration in Majuro, and again....NO ANSWEAR.

I have allready the application form, police record, HIV/AIDS and TB test but cant find any account to pay the 150US visa fee for a visitors visa.

I dont know what to do anymore, so i guess i just need to travel and find out when i do arrive over there. Anyone that have any idea if Norwegians can get a visa on arrival or others to contact in Majuro to get correct information?

Thanks
Hans Petter

I'll be there between 27th and 29th May. I've no visa in advance and will try secure one on arrival. I'm just going to rely on Timatic.
