Beaches in the main island states of Micronesia

Hello all,

I'm having trouble to find information about the beaches in Micronesia. So far I learned that there aren't really nice beaches on the main islands of Chuuk (Weno) and Pohnpei (except Ant Atoll).. On Google we can see that there are apparently some beautiful beaches on the main islands of Yap and Kosrae, but can anybody confirm this? If yes, which ones and are they easily accessible for tourists? I'm planning a trip to Micronesia in 2015 and I'd like to choose 2 islands, mostly the ones with the nicest beaches :)

Yes, there are some beaches on Yap. No one is really spectacular. Your best bet probably would be the beach(es) around Bechiyal in the north. (actually on the island of Maap)

Kosrae has the best of the FSM main island beaches. Most of the east and south coast has an allmost unbroken string of beach. Not exactly Seychelles or French Polynesia but quite visually attractive. Finding a good swimming beach, though could prove difficult. My favorite may be a couple of small beaches on the uninhabited (south?) side of Lelu island.
