Best location(s) for wild camping in Micronesia/ Oceania

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Micronesia, Federated States of

Hi all,
I've been reading through the posts and I was wondering if anyone had any information about the best locations and how to go about legally wild camping in the Islands.

So, a little backstory:
I'm a huge fan of the Korean show Law of the Jungle so, inspired by the cast's experiences, a group of my friends and I want to have a similar experience of going off to some deserted part of an island and living off our own skills and wits for a week or two.

I've looked into wild camping a little but most of the information is about Europe and other more frequented destinations so I've not been able to find much information about Micronesia or other Pacific Islands/ Oceania.

The most pressing questions I have right now are:

How feasible is it to do something like this legally? Does one absolutely HAVE to homestay or book accomodation?

Who would we need to contact to organise something like a guide?

How easy is it to rent a vehicle for the duration and organise a boat to take us out/ pick us up from one of the more remote uninhabited islands?

How does getting permission to wild camp work, if it is possible? Is hunting/ fishing allowed. Would we be allowed to build our own shelter or have to bring tents? And would we be allowed to make a fire?

It goes without saying that our intention during this trip would be to be respectful of the people and the environment so, with that in mind, we will not be causing unnecessary destruction or taking anything we aren't allowed to. It's the experience we are interested in most.
