FMS Idyllic Islands

Hi
Looking for idyllic islands in the FSM. Any ideas will be highly appreciated

From my (European) point of view, all of the FSM islands are idyllic.
Pohnpei I liked best, but I'm biased, since Nan Madol is called the Venice of the Pacific, and I'm a veritable Venice addict; therefore it was a must for me to go there. Second was Yap - very traditional and unique for the stone money. Chuuk had no highlights to offer, except you are on diving for shipwrecks from WW 2. Kosrae: No idea, I wasn't there.

Kosrae is very idyllic- very little to do, lovely beaches, a picture postcard of an island. Very laid back. I agree about Chuuk- NOT an idyllic island except for wreck divers. Disagree about Pohnpei- as a mangrove island it is very hard to get to the water, although I understand that they have put in a small manmade beach which would be a tremendous improvement. The beaches by the airport are polluted and you really don't want to swim there. Yap is also wonderful- the people are bright and fasinating and the island is the most traditional. Are you looking for anything in particular as part of your idyllic island?
