Who has been Scuba Diving in Micronesia?
I am planning to move there as a Dive Master soon so want as much info as possible.
Thanks

I have :-) But I'm not a dive master - just Padi Open Water.

Went to Palau and Yap, Micronesia some years ago (2011). Was diving with Beyond the reef - a small local company. There are a couple of other dive Companies in Colonia. I think they cater more to package tourists. We had four dives - three of them with mantas. That was amazing - the fourth dive was murky and nothing of interest. I know they also have some pretty good macro dives - but we were more interested in the mantas.
I have a small video on my blog. You are welcome to have a look.

I hope you will have a great time there. It’s a pretty small place and there is not a lot going on. But people are VERY friendly and everything is relaxed and slow.

That's so rad for you. I am from Yap, and say that if you want the best scuba in the world...come to Yap. The water is so perfect, and the channels provide such a wide array of aqualife. You will have a blast anywhere in the area, but talk to the dive guys at The Manta Ray in Colonia. Or even one of the many outer islands for a visit.

I dove in Chuuk for a week, wrecks obviously. The most mind-blowing, amazing diving I've ever done. Which island and shop are you going to? I'm DYING to get back, and want to also dive Yap!
