Has anyone visited Nauru recently? A question about visa.

I have read many of the posts in this Nauru section, but all of them are quite old. I wonder if someone has visited Nauru recently.....

I have this great idea to visit Nauru, finally got a reply to my accomodation request in one of three hotels. Tthough they just said they will sent my email to a person who is responsible for bookings....anyway it's a contact, better than nothing!

If there's vacancy, I will hope the buy flight tickets, still in "cheap" price. Then would come the tome to apply for visa. My questions are: how long it takes to get the visa? The flight would be in 15 days from Brisbane, but I could be in consulate (also in Brisbane) earliest 12 days before the flight. Would that be enough?

And other thing: Can I count on to get the visa? The cheapest return ticket is 1300 AUD, so I really wouldn't like to pay that much and then find out that I can't get a visa.

Well, these things are the top concern for me right now, I hope someone can help me. If you have anything else to tell me about Nauru, I'm willing to hear. Thank you!

I ve got my flights booked from Fiji to Kiribati and then Nauru and then on to the Marshall Islands
however, was totally unaware that I needed a visa although I read on one of your posts that I can get it on arrivel for AUD100 I m hoping this is the case as getting one before I get there seems pretry hard anyway, if youl could let me know, that would be fantastic and did you have a good time and any recommendations?? Steve
