Nauru Visa for US citizen?

Hello, I might find myself in Nauru this December and want to understand the visa situation. Would a US citizen need to contact the Nauru consulate/embassy in Brisbane to go about getting permission on paper to visit? Or is it possible to just fly in and get a visa on arrival? If I did the latter, has anyone been denied at the exiting destination before arriving in Nauru (such as Majuro, Marshall Is.)?

Yes I would imagine you would. The nauruan visa process is very complex and it takes a long time. I would do it as soon as possible if I were you.

I just returned, and depending on your passport it is now visa on arrival as long as you have confirmed accommodations. My surprise when I landed, since I was only staying 24 hours, is they waived the visa. Ended up being completely free.
