Camping on Maré and...

Hi Travellers,

Has anybody lately camped on Maré and can recommend which is the best site? What are the facilities like? In my LP it never mentions anything. I would be grateful for any help on Maré from anybody who has been there of late.
All advice would be welcome.
If anybody has camped on Ouvéa or the Ile des Pins I would be grateful again if anyone could recommend a good place to camp.

I don't know if this is still of any use, but we were in Mare in May and stayed at Camping Fare de la Plage. We stayed in the communal fare, but people were camping there and there was a really well kept grassy area for tents. The couple running the place are really nice, and sell reasonably priced meals (not to mention tours of the island). The communal showers / toilets were kept very clean during our stay.
