I am off to New Cal at the end of the week. The CPF Franc is available from money changers in Australia.
Is it better to change on arrival or before departure in Australia ? Should I get Euros or US dollars.?
Is it polite to bargain in the markets and shops ?

Are Credit cards widely accepted ?

How can I find what days the cruise ships are in port in Noumea and Isle of Pines ( I want to avoid them !)

1. If you arrive by air, get CPF at the airport. I got mine via the ATM there.
   2.DONT get Euros nor USD take your AUD , otherwise youll pay fees on 2 exchanges.
   3. Bargaining in shops is not expected. Markets is ok, but not like in Aisa.
   4. Credit cards are very widely accepted even in smaller towns but not villages.
   5. Look on the major cruise lines websites for arrivals/de[artures - google them

I would just use the ATMs when you get there, although it might be an idea to have some ready to get the bus into town from the airport.

Money is the least of your worries, at least in terms of access to it.
