English Speaking Tourists Understood ?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / New Caledonia

I'm a senior male who would like to visit Isle of Pines and Loyalty Islands.
Are English speaking tourists readily understood, and find it easy to get around, arrange accommodation etc ?

Are English speaking tourists readily understood

Certainly NOT.
Nothing like in the English-speaking Pacific countries like Fiji or even Vanuatu.
But you can still get around and find accommodation.

I have had no problems anywhere on Isles of Pines, but I hear that very little English spoken on the other islands
