Farmwork available in New Caledonia

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / New Caledonia

Hi there!

I am from Austria but currently living in Australia and I would like to learn French. I would love to stay in New Caledonia for a couple of months so I can live amongst a French speaking community and learn the language.

I did the same in South America and was fluent within a couple of months, so I am quite positive I can do the same with French.

I was wondering if someone would know by any chance about farm work, au pair, or work for accommodation by any chance? I had a look already on WWOOF and helpx but I could not really find anything.

It would be great if someone can give me further advice on this, knows about websites or even people from over there.

Thanks very much!
Bernhard

Nah.

Last year locals have priority for jobs law came out. Next to impossible and very expensive to find accomadation, you'll need a work permit which is a PITA with French/NC administration!

Go home and learn in France!

PS I live there/here.
