Hiking in New Caledoniaa

Hi all

I've got 2 weeks in New Caledonia over Christmas / New Years and I'm pretty keen to do some hiking, if possible. That being said - I can't find much information about logistics or destinations (beyond broad references to the GR-1, but I'm struggling to find up-to-date information).

Has anyone got some experience with this and can shed any light?

Sorry for the general nature of the question, but I've been struggling to find current information - posts seem to be many years old and the links are all broken.
