| Laszlo22:38 UTC03 Mar 2011 | The French Indian Ocean airline Air Austral now offers a link from New Caledonia to its stunning homebase of Reunion , with a quick stop in Sydney only along the way.
From Reunion, they fly to further such enticing places like the Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mayotte, the Comoros, South Africa and of course to Paris.
A RT fare from Noumea to Reunion seems to be around 985 Euro.
Not exactly cheap, but seems way cheaper than visiting the 2 regions on 2 separate trips from EU or AU, and hey it's a really unique route taking you straight from one Paradise to the next! :-)
Can't believe a direct flight between such remote regions exists and don't know how long it will last, but those with enough cash could now visit 2 of what I've found to be among the Top Ten most stunning islands in the World in one go!
