"Medical supplies"

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / New Caledonia

This is a rather embarrassing question, but I have been unable to find an answer anywhere else. I am planning a 2-3 week trip to New Caledonia, and my question is; are continence pads readily available in Noumea? or anywhere else? or will I have to suck it up and pay for extra luggage?

Noumea is actually pretty 'civilised' and their supermarkets that are near the Vallee colonees are huge- there is a pharmacy there that is good too- you can catch a bus to there from Anse Vata- I think it is on the road that goes down the side of the Hilton hotel- It is one that goes through inland vs along the beaches from Anse Vata to the centre of town- actually a lot of French people come to Noumea to retire, so continence pads should be in good supply! Things aren't always cheap though the supermarkets were good places to find souvenirs too!
