micro SIM cell phones (Nexus 4) in New Caledonia

Hi, I gather there is one cell phone provider on the island - OPT - and it has 3G in the 900 and 2100 bands which suggests the Nexus 4 should work. But the Nexus 4 requires a micro sim and according to the cruising-newcaledonia folks

OPT requires only works with full sized SIM s

But according to OPT's FAQ says that micro sims are available fot the iPad and iPhone.

The Cruise web site was talking about buying SIM s at the post office and getting a short term pay by the hour or day deal. I am not sure that this sort of deal is available directly from OPT.

So does anyone know can a short term visitor get a pay by the day SIM deal with a micro SIM phone, and does any one happen to know that the Nexus 4 works there?
