Rainy season

I've got the opportunity to visit New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Wallis-et-Futuna in January/February. It's rainy season during those months, and does this mean that it's pouring all the day long, or that there are (only) several strong showers in the course of the day?

NC gets much more rain in March/April than Jan/Feb

The rain doesnt fall all day in any PI place, being tropical.
