Where in New Caledonia

Hi,

I'm looking for a place not too far from Sydney for our honeymoon, so thought New Caledonia. I hear Noumea is not so nice? What about Ile des Pines?
After some suggestions

New Caledonia is great, Noumea IS nice, and the Isle of Pines simply stunning.

since it's your honeymoon then I'd definitely advise you on Iles des Pins!
Perfect for some romantic time but also great for activities and general "white sand - blue water" fun.
Noumea is OK, but honestly nothing too exciting, definitely not for a honeymoon :)
