Based in Koror

Hi,

I'm going to Palau in August and wandered where the best place to be based was? I was thinking of basing myself in Koror and then organising diving, and kayak trips from there?
Is it Viable to do it from Peleilu? is there budget accommodation there? is it a better place to be than koror?
What are the must do's in Palau?

Most things are based in Koror, although you can do some things from Peliliu. Certainly it is all easier from Koror. Must dos. Jellyfish lake, the rock islands, the museum, the Resort for a sunset drink and taro leaf soup, a trip to the stone quarries where the Yap money was cut, a trip to Pelilu and to Anguar- how long are you going for? Are you diving or snorkeling? Do you need a guide? (I know a lot about the islands and lots of locals)..
