Bat Soup

Hello!

I am planning a vacation to Palau, and while there, I would love to try the local special Fruit Bat Soup.

I just wanted to ask, which restaurants sell bat soup, and how is it normally prepared?

Also, can you eat the wings? I would like to taste it, but am not sure if you can actually eat the wing membranes.

Dragon Tai up the hill is the only place I ever saw it. It is prepared with a pie crust and (yuck) the head sticking out. I don't remember what we ate- whatever was there. We were sharing it with a pair of very very drunken tourists from Japan. It was actually very good- like chicken (what else) marinated from the inside. But you do have to get over the head.

There are several fruit bat dishes at the Penthouse Hotel restaurant in Koror, but I don't remember if bat soup was one of them. But you can definitely find traditionally prepared bat and other local foods, such as taro soup and various types of crab.
