Cheap flight to,Palau

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Palau

Hi,

How can Imget cheap from Hongkong/Manila/KL. or another asian AirPort to Palau?
Thanks
Nina

Go to Kayak.com and you'll see that United Airlines flies from Manila to Koror for as little as $737 return.

Check out the Palau visitors page - www.visit-palau.com/gettingthere/airlines.html - you will find a list of airlines flying into Koror. A couple(including Palau Airlines) fly out of Taipei and some are on charter basis. Finding a cheap flight into Koror will be a challenge but if you are into the underwater scene it is well worth it. Good luck with your search - maybe you could let us know if you find something at a good price!

Except Palau Airways, all the airlines flying the routes you are looking for are included in search engines like Skyscanner, Kayak or any other similar so you can use them to look for the cheapest fare available on your travel dates (you'll have to look separately for the fares of Palau airways though). Be aware that not all the flights are daily so look previously for the schedule of flights. As Palau Airways isn't (AFAIK) included in webs like those that I quoted, you'll have to get in touch with them in order to get a quote and, if it's the cheapest option, book your flight.

Don't book any upstart airlines too far in advance- they have a tendancy to disappear. Or never fly at all. Continental has very very strong ties with many of the most important people in Palau. I have seen 5 or 6 airlines come and go very very quickly.

Cheap flights to Palau don't really exist. You might check flights through Japan and see if that is cheaper--there are now two carriers that fly that route (United and Delta). And I second 5Waldos caution about brand new airlines, Palauns generally won't rely on them (and yes, this includes people who don't work for the government).
