Hi, I would like to go to Palau next year in the period between the end of March and the end of May or in November for 2 or 3 weeks. What would be the best time ?
The best time would definitely be in March to see bigger fish come in. It's considered their "high season". Definitely don't expect a trip to Palau to be cheap as it was probably the most expensive part of my 3 month trip. The flights even out of Taiwan are expensive. See if you can find a flight with Palau Airways if you can for cheaper flights. I would try to book early if you can. I recommend doing everything through Sam's Tours as they were AWESOME to work with. I booked last minute and ended up getting this placed called Lehn's Motel and it was absolutely terrible so I would not recommend it. If you can try to get a proper hotel room like Sea Passion. For us we ended up moving to West Plaza Malakal across from Sam's Tours which was much better. My suggestion is that if you're going to go all the way to Palau don't cheap out on the accommodations. But yes Sam's Tours can help you coordinate all the hotels/dives. It's not particularly easy to contact a lot of these accommodation places because most don't even have websites. Another thing to consider is if you want to do any diving around Peleliu. There's some amazing dive sites there from what I heard from the locals. For details on how my Palau trip went this summer, check out: My posts start here - http://goingawesomeplaces.com/2012/08/26/day-65-taipei-to-palau-here-we-come/ Enjoy your time out there. Diving is simply amazing in Palau. | 1

"Another thing to consider is if you want to do any diving around Peleliu. Amazing divesites very nearby, Blue Corner, German Channel, Pelelui Wall etc. One of my best ever diving experiences and all done on a very tight budget.. | 3
