| michand120:16 UTC22 May 2018 | I don’t realistically expect a reply to this post any time soon. The last one below was eight months ago. I am returning to Palau to dive (of course) but was wondering if a few days on Yap is worth it. I don’t assume Yap is that much better vs Palau. Or at all. But it does look interesting ethnographically. The people I heard are very kind and inviting whereas Trukk residents are supposed to be sometimes unfriendly (even dangerous) for the casual visitor. Can anybody out there comment on going to Yap? Thanks.

| divergirl2521:44 UTC19 Jun 2018 | Hi! Well ... this "try" as an answer comes up 28 days later ;) Hoping it's not too late! And it's more like a decision help from someone that's been trip planning and reading lots :O :) Honestly, Yap sounds just amazing! I have not had the chance to go myself but I'm looking forward to after I've heard my friends talking about their trip there! You'll find plenty of information online but I came across this one, which was complete and may help https://divezone.net/diving/yap-and-chuuk But so basically the culture seems to be amazing to witness on Yap, and of course I'm super excited about Truk! Plus, I keep reading about the** manta rays** on Yap - and that's one creature I have yet to see! Hopefully I'll be lucky when I head there! The reef is also a must for me and my buddy as we like wrecks, but... not for 10 dives! :P
Anyway, hope this helps a little! Best travels! :)
