Koror - Internet & International CallsCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Palau
I will be staying at Lehns Apt & Motel. I am wondering if there is an internet cafe near by and what the rates are. How about a place where I can make international calls? If you've stayed at Lehns before, are there phones inside the rooms so I can at least receive phone calls?
I was hoping someone in Palau would respond to this, but let me jump in. I rented a cell phone while I was in Palau from PRA Network (488-3420) they are next to the fisheries dock between Koror and Malakal. As I recall the rate was US$6.00 a day, with discounts for extended stays. You prepaid for your minutes and it was quite reasonable. There were a number of Internet locations in Koror when I was there two years ago, I am sure there are even more now. I suggest you enquire at Lehn's, they may even have wifi by now. I did not stay at Lehn's, so I don't know if they have phones in the room. | 1
Don't know if you're already there or not... I've stayed at Lehns. There are not phones in the rooms, but the main office/family room has a phone. If you are nice to them, they will let you use it. Lehns is a typical small town family place, if you are nice to them, they will offer homestays with relatives on other islands, etc. | 2
