Palau trip in July for 7 sevens daysCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Palau
Hi ! | ||
Palau is not a budget destination, and its good beaches require further travel, so this will be difficult. You'll need to get off of Koror. There are no nice public beaches there, only one (high-end) hotel one. A simple google search turned up this thread: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forums/australasia-pacific-pacific-islands-papua-new-guinea/palau/palau-where-are-the-beaches-and-how-to-get-to-them | 1
As far as the weather- old more stable patterns of rainy seasons have been disrupted and you never know what to expect. However, most commonly it will rain for a time (30 minutes- an hour) and then it will be nice again. Weather report for the next 10 days says some rain, about 85 degrees. Typical- I would guess the weather report reads thusly: 85 degrees, 85% chance of some rain, water temperature 85 degrees. Very rarely does the rain really interfere with activities. It may pour for a bit then be sunny and hot again. | 2
