Air Niugini reliability Kavieng

Hi there,
I will be flying from Kavieng to Port Moresby in July and I wanted to get an idea of how likely my flight is to be cancelled! If the likelihood is high, then I'll book my flight for one day earlier.

I hear that flights can be cancelled frequently in PNG, but I don't know if this is the reality for an Air Niugini flight outside the wet season.

no doubt they are less reliable than some airlines but you are still 95% likely to arrive on time or less than 1 hr late

first plane of the day is usually the most reliable since it is hopefully waiting there for you

certainly dont try a tight turnaround in PNG - minimum of say 4hours to arrive at POM domestic to leave international
