Car and Driver in Port Moresby recommendation

Getting around Port Moresby is not easy you really need a car and driver.

I can recommend Tropic Tours for a nice new clean car with a/c and good driver

They quote 800 PGK for a full day, 550 for a half day although you can probably negotiate. They also quote 120 to/from downtown to the airport but note that all the main hotels offer free shuttles to/from the airport

If you just have one or two places to visit then consider a taxi. Ask at your hotel and they will call a trusted driver who will pick you up and then return later to take you back to hotel. Make sure you get their name and number. Expect to pay around 50 for a trip from say the Museum to downtown each way. Negotiate first as there are no meters.
