Climbing Punkak Jaya

Hi,
has anybody climbed Punkak Jaya?
I am planning to do it next year. Just looking around for the first information, tips, recommendations, prices.

you may want to post this q on the indonesia thread as puncak jaya is located in west papua,which is controlled by indonesia.you will require special permits issued out of jakarta to enter the area.

Not only that, but climbing permits are only issued to those taking part in very expensive climbing "expeditions".
Mostly those doing the "Seven Summits" find it worth the money to tik off Oceania's highest peak. And if they could afford Everest, they can pobably afford this one, too!
