Cost of Port Moresby-CairnsBrisbane Flights

Hello,
I am interested in knowing what the current cost of a Port Moresby-Cairns/Brisbane one-way flight costs and additionally, which companies fly that route. I know that flight prices can fluxiuate a lot, but I appreciate whatever estimate people out there may have. Peter

I am besed in Brisbane .Should cost about $1000 Aus but watch what you buy.been their twice on qantas and PNG airlines share. if you change your return when there you wont be able to alter it and they make you buy a new ticket. happened too us twice. checked with our travel agent and even he could not get a refund as basically they dont know what to o up there. you are best to email/contact your travel agent from PNG and get him to change it for you. take care as had three bad experiences being ripped off there.

Wouldn't that be one of the first things a company should do? Make sure that their branches know what to do? It's a huge amount to be ripped off on...

As PNG Mangi advsied, Airlines PNG will be the cheapest. I recently got a one way BNE - POM for K650, about AUD300. But you could check the Air Niugini web site - they have prices on the site and you can buy online if you want. [http://www.airniugini.com.pg]

Frangy, I don't know who you have been dealing with but I have had no trouble changing tickets with either Air Niugini or Airlines PNG. Sometimes there is a penalty, but that's the same everywhere. "They" actually do know what to do up here.

No they do not.Try changing a ticket in Lei even though you have purchased a ticket that allows changes with no charge according toFlight Centre.
Sure they know what they are doing. Try this one. re booked on a flight that had left an hour before!!!

The cheapest you can get to PNG is fly into cairns and take airlinesPNG from there to Port Moresby

I managed to change the return date in Port Moresby at the Air Niugini office in town without an additional charge.
