Email address contacts for PNG medical electives

Just wondering if there was anyone out there with information regarding an elective in Papua New Guinea. We are a boy and a girl hoping to see some exciting things, avoid the crime and visit some beautiful places and people.

So any info you could give us would be wonderful, particularly email contacts.

You don't say what country you are from. In Australia, these electives are organised by the University where you are studying.

where about's do you hail from? I'm in the process of setting up a foundation here in Australia attempting to help improve healthcare and delivery in PNG. One of our goals is to improve the ease of elective organisation in PNG.

Any idea where you fancy heading? I can recommend Kavieng and heading over to Alotau in a month to organize some contacts over there as well. Otherwise we have contacts in Wewak and Madang as well.

Sorry for not mentioning that. We are both at UTAS and our electives are fully self-organised, so this was just to see who was out there, what experiences people have had and what they would recommend. I realise a lot of contacts are via post or fax, however I was hoping some people might have email contacts for places they have visited for electives.
