Goroka show

I am interested in going to Goroka show.
I dont know much about Papua New Guinea. I am an experienced traveler but I think is a short time to plan. Any suggestions of a tour company? Local guide? Hotels?
Security in Port Moresby? Security in Goroka? Please any advice would be much apreciated

the shows put great strain on accommodation and transport (which are already not in great shape) so arriving without a plan is risky - a few hundred tourists plus hundreds of performers and thousands of locals all need accommodation and transport

i recommend you try ruth dicker in sydney - she speaks pidgin and has lived in PNG - we have used her for 3 PNG trips

in all PNG cities the usual rules apply - keep a low profile, if on your own have a plan know where you are going and dont walk around at night
