Guide for Kokoda - no tour group

Hi, my mate and I are wanting to trek Kokoda in early 2017 but have nowhere near the budget to go with a fully organised group, however, we definitely need a guide and possibly a porter and are willing to pay a good rate for that service. Does anyone have any experience sorting out a guide separately from a tour group and/or any contacts that might be helpful in organising this? Cheers

You MUST hire a guide and porter through the KTA and be properly equipped and funded for the trek.
