Living expenses& Hiring translator

I am planning to do some research in PNG, and looking at spending about 3 - 4 months there, based in Port Moresby. I was wondering what the going rate is for the following

1) Short term accommodation - eg. apartment or room in guest house for 3-4 months in a relatively central & secure area, access to internet vital

2) Hiring a local translator (who can travel with me if needed - though it will be in POM most of the time) cost per day
