Loloata island

Loloata island makes a pleasant escape from Port Moresby,but it's not cheap at K440 per night including 3 decent meals & transport to/from Port M./airport.
The A/C bungalows are great,food's good & beer's kept cold,but the solitary,caged tree kangaroo is very sad & spoils the visit.

It was too rich for me, so I'm probably going for the Ela Beach Lodge - note Lodge, not hotel.

Hotel is very expensive - Lodge is about K185 a night.

Then diving with the Dive Centre who are able to dive all the wrecks in Bootless that you would dive out of Loloata, as well as a few more from the yacht club

I can certaiinly live without seeing an animal in a cage

I'll let you know how the Ela Beach Lodge & Dive Centre combo works out.
