Madang to Angoram

I am curious if anyone knows if it is possible to Travel from Madang to Bogia via PMV, Bus to Boroi and then hire canoe to Watum and another from there up the Sepik to Angoram such as the Lonely Planet Guide suggests you might...

Think this would be an adventurous way to head into the Sepik region if possible and bring its own rewards

you can certainly get a pmv to bogia, they are from what i remember fairly regular (at least one a day) but from there is where your fun would begin. it would be possible to hire a canoe, if there was not one going up the sepik, but the cost would be very pricey. you would have to cover the cost of fuel for the boat there and i would guess return (unless there was one heading that way regardless). fuel unfortunately is not that cheap. and any boat going further up the sepik the cost would get more and more pricey the further you went. in saying that if you had a little party to travel with, you could spilt the cost and make it more economical, but it still wont be cheap.

Yes You are quite likely correct with that, and thanks for your input.... sometimes I forget about our good friend "Gas" that is not nearly so cheap in PNG as it would be at home in Canada.
