I will be living in POM for 1 month and will need mobile access and data.i will have to buy a SIM card for my phone and was thinking of getting phone only on the SIM and buying a 1 month data package on mobile USB for my computer for data access. I heard internet very expensive in POM and no free wifi access. Am staying in hotel but internet very expensive.
http://www.digicelpng.com/en/plans digicel has the best coverage - they have a kiosk as you arrive at POM international and other kiosks elsewhere at the airport - they charge for a sIm card (around 5/10 kina depending on type) - top up credit is widely available but SIM cards are not so this is the best place to buy them if your phone supports tethering or personal hotspot then just use that to link laptop when needed - simpler and cheaper any credit left as you leave will expire so send it by sms to a local who can make use of it | 1

128[number]*[amount]# (for some reason this doesnt display - it starts star128 star - the stars just make 128 appear in italics) [number] is your friends number (without brackets) http://bernardsinai.hubpages.com/hub/DigicelPNG-Subscriber-Tips free wifi is hard to find but some hotels (eg airways) have slow free wifi in the lobby | 3
