Has anyone used this guide or heard of him? His company is called Koiari Treks.
Thanks

However, I haven't used the company personally and have not heard any reports, good or bad.

But when the time came he was no where around. He wouldn't answer any contacts, all it cost me was the price of a meal as I had refused to pay him upfront.
That was a few days before we were due to start the walk. The Kokoda Track Authority organised another guide for me in a very short time. The Authority gave a good service.

How much did you agree to pay him? and how much did you pay the replacement guide? When was this?
Thanks for the tips.

| daley13:37 UTC22 Oct 2007 | Three friends and i walked the track 8 weeks ago and had a really good memorable trip.
We organized our own Guide and Porters and everything work out brilliantly. Our guide was actually a policeman who patrolled the track and made a bit of extra kina doubling as a guide or porter while he was on patrol, so the safety aspect was covered too. Not to mention saving a huge amount of money.. He can arrange as many porters as need also. His name is Sinoi Kone, if you would like any contact details send me a private message.
Cheers and good luck.
