| lisamatu05:26 UTC09 Aug 2009 | Hi I am going to Kavieng for a surf trip with my partner in mid December and I was wondering if anyone knew of sights or activities we could do - besides surfing. We are there for eight days and I would like to see all we can in this short time. Cheers

So other than surfing and diving/snorkelling, just take it easy & lazy - unless perhaps you can drag your partner away from the surf to go exploring further afield. The shape of the island is such that you can't really go far from Kavieng AND back the same day.

If you are desperate for some sightseeing and a museum, you could consider hopping over to Rabaul in New Britan for maybe 2 days.
