organising day trip to Loloata Island?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Hi all! We'll be in Port Moresby next month and are interested in going to Loloata Island for a day trip. It looks like a few tour groups offer a day trip for about $AUD90 per person including pickup from the hotel (I've checked with the hotel we're staying at - they don't have a tour desk so can't help directly). Would appreciate any suggestions/recommendations

Book direct through Loloata - they'll send a shuttle to your hotel to pick you up, take you to the pier, out to the island for the day on their boat, and back again.

Contact details available here: http://www.loloata.com/
Bring sunscreen and mosquito spray, and enjoy the snorkeling (or diving) :)

Thanks for the tip - much appreciated

Just one more thing -- book ahead with Loloata instead of doing it from Moresby, as they can get full on the boat out and back (on the weekends at least), and re-confirm your reservation with them once you arrive.

Thanks - will do :)
