PNG in late Dec, early Jan

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Papua New Guinea

Hi all,
International flights to PNG at this time from Australia are still reasonably priced, so I am looking to make my there.
I understand that the rainy season doesn't affect all of PNG.
I am after advice on which places will be the most tolerable and which would be no go weather wise.

Thanks in advance

For a PNG tour is Wewak at the north coast a good destination to go first on Sepik tour and after that to go snorkelling on the islands near Wewak

In the Sepik region you can see untouched coutryside -especially at the Wag lake - and live together with the local people

Detailed informations can you find in this branch of this frum under the date of

04.04.2012 : Sepik tours

13.01.2012 stay in Pagwi

20.09.2011 report about Wagu Lake and Mathew

18.01.2010 islands near Wewak : island Yuo

thre must be one more message about the island from Christian Krug - please look exactly
